Financial Aid Options

At Oxford College, our financial aid department is available to explain all your payment options and help you select a payment plan that’s right for you. We have a range of assistance programs to help you fund your college education.

We are here to answer your questions, guide you through the application process, provide information about assistance programs, and address any concerns about financing your education.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

Financial assistance in the form of grants and loans may be available for those who qualify.

Through one OSAP application, you have access to various types of assistance, depending on your financial need.

Second Career

Second Career is a government program designed to help people who have been laid off within the last 12 months and are currently unemployed. The program helps unemployed workers who commit to a long-term training plan make the transition to new careers in growing areas of the economy.

Second Career can help applicants with the costs of tuition, books, living expenses, and other costs associated with the training to build skills for a new career.

Flexible Monthly Payment Plans

Oxford College can provide students who qualify with monthly interest-free payments while attending school. This plan meets individual financial needs and gives students more flexibility in funding their education.

Registered Education Savings Plan

Students under their family’s Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) may use these funds to pay for their postsecondary education at Oxford College. All of our programs qualify for all RESP grants and contribution.

Lifelong Learning Plan

The Lifelong Learning Plan allows you to withdraw money from your registered retirement savings plan (RRSP) to pay for training or education. This money could also help pay for training or education for your spouse or common-law partner.

You and your spouse or common-law partner can each withdraw up to $10,000 in a calendar year from your RRSPs, for a $20,000 maximum withdrawal.

Student Loans through the Bank

You are able to use any bank to apply for a student line of credit. We have made arrangements with Royal Bank to offer tuition funding for students registered at Oxford College. The Royal Bank offers the RBC Student Line of Credit.

While in school, students are obligated to pay only the interest portion of any outstanding balance. Upon achieving employment, regular interest and principal payments would commence. Our financial aid office can provide more information and contact details for RBC.
