SQL Fundamentals

Oxford College’s 50-week SQL Fundamentals diploma program teaches you how to work with data using structured query language (SQL) to support reporting and decision-making. You’ll learn to organize data, write queries and generate insights used across business environments.

Through hands-on training, you’ll write SQL queries, work with structured data and build reports that support analysis and decision-making. You’ll also explore database design and cloud platforms, helping you work with modern data systems.

Key program benefits
You’ll receive training in SQL and data technologies including query development, joins and nested queries, advanced SQL functions and ETL processes. You’ll also explore integration with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau, along with cloud platforms including Azure SQL, Amazon RDS and Google Cloud, helping you analyze and manage data in real-world environments.

Certification preparation
Our program prepares you to pursue the Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate and Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900) certifications, helping you validate your skills and strengthen your credentials as you begin your career in data analysis.

Capstone project
You’ll complete the program with a hands-on capstone project where you design and implement a SQL-based solution to solve a real-world problem. You’ll build a database, create complex queries and generate reports or dashboards while documenting and presenting your work, creating a portfolio-ready project that demonstrates your data analysis skills.
