Our 16-month Primary Care Paramedic diploma program offers in-person instruction and includes the most in-class practical lab hours of any program. You will gain the extensive hands-on training required to pursue employment with hospitals, private ambulance services, government departments, fire departments and more!
You will learn to assess injuries and trauma and provide emergency care such as oxygen therapy, CPR, spinal immobilization, IV treatments, bandaging and splinting before transporting patients to hospitals for further care. Our program also helps develop the essential communications skills required to get information from patients, family or bystanders and to relay details to dispatchers and hospital staff.
The clinical component of our program is regulated by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) and prepares you to take their Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant (AEMCA) examination. This certification tells prospective employers that you have the skills, knowledge and competencies to handle high-pressure emergency scenarios.
Our flexible start dates allow you to start the program as soon as you’re ready. You will learn from instructors who are experienced in the field and provide career-focused training in a small, supportive classes.
