Get the skills and hands-on training to help clients during times of illness, injury or recuperation in community homes, retirement homes, long-term care facilities, hospitals, private homes and more.
During the program, you’ll gain the field-related skills and knowledge needed to play in important role in the lives of clients and their families. You will learn to assist with such daily activities as bathing, oral and personal hygiene, light housecleaning, laundry, shopping and meal preparation and strengthen your knowledge of safety and mobility, household management and nutrition and hydration. You will also develop the skills to recognize and report behavioural, physical and/or cognitive changes to a supervisor.
Our flexible start dates allow you to start the Personal Support Worker program as soon as you’re ready. You will learn from instructors who are experienced in the field and provide career-focused training in a small, supportive classes.
