During the program, you will learn to interview clients, assess their needs and develop a plan of action, locate community resources, prepare intake reports, determine eligibility for social benefits, refer clients to social services and provide crisis intervention when needed. You will strengthen your knowledge of non-violent crisis intervention, high-risk populations and communication techniques so you can better assist people of all ages with mental and/or physical disabilities, as well as those facing addiction, mental health or social challenges.
