Our program develops the communication, organizational and people skills required to pursue career opportunities with hospitals, mental health agencies, group homes, shelters, substance abuse centres, social service agencies, correctional facilities and more.
You will learn to use community resources to connect clients with legal help, medical attention, financial assistance, housing, employment and more. You will also learn to interview clients to obtain their case histories, prepare intake reports, assess eligibility for social programs, track client progress and provide support, crisis intervention and counselling as needed.
