Health Information Management and Data Analytics Diploma Program

Oxford College’s 50-week Health Information Management and Data Analytics diploma program teaches you how to manage healthcare data and support decision-making across medical environments. You’ll learn to organize health information, analyze data and maintain systems that support patient care and healthcare operations.

Through hands-on training, you’ll work with health data to ensure accuracy, security and accessibility while supporting reporting and analysis. You’ll also explore how healthcare systems use data to improve outcomes and maintain compliance, helping you support clinical and administrative environments.

Key program benefits
You’ll receive training in health informatics, data standards and electronic health record systems, along with healthcare analytics and data visualization. You’ll also explore privacy legislation such as PHIPA and HIPAA, along with governance and risk management practices used in healthcare settings.

Certification preparation
Our program prepares you to pursue the CHIM National Certification Examination (NCE) certifications, helping you validate your skills and strengthen your credentials as you begin your career in health information management.

Capstone project
You’ll complete a supervised 200-hour capstone project where you apply health informatics, analytics and governance skills in a healthcare or public health setting. You’ll develop a comprehensive report and present your findings, demonstrating your ability to solve real-world data challenges while building professional communication skills.
