Software Engineering

Oxford College’s 50-week Software and Web Developer diploma program teaches you how to design and build modern web applications from front-end interfaces to back-end systems. You’ll learn to create responsive applications, develop server-side functionality and manage data to support real-world business needs.

Through hands-on training, you’ll build full stack applications using technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, along with back-end development, databases and version control workflows. You’ll also explore modern frameworks and development practices that support scalable, responsive and user-focused applications.

Key program benefits
You’ll receive training in full stack development, including front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, along with modern frameworks like React or Vue. You’ll also work with back-end development using Node.js and databases, while learning version control with Git, API integration and basic DevOps practices such as CI/CD, helping you design, build and deploy real-world web applications.

Capstone project
You’ll complete the program with a hands-on capstone project where you design, build and deploy a full web application with front-end and back-end components. You’ll apply skills such as requirements gathering, API development, database integration and testing, while using version control and deployment tools. You’ll present your work to demonstrate job-ready development experience.
